Bir, located in Himachal Pradesh, is not only famous for being the “Paragliding Capital of India” but also offers a variety of delightful cafes perfect for any traveler. In this blog I’ll share the best cafes in Bir.

Whether you’re here to experience the second-highest paragliding point in the world or simply want to enjoy some local flavors, Bir’s cozy cafes will surely make your visit memorable.

If you have already booked your hotel and breakfast is included, congrats! But if not, it is going to be a task. But please note the 3 cafes I am going to recommend start from 10:30 am approx.

Here are the best cafes to try in Bir

Treat your senses at the best cafes in Bir. If you are someone who drinks, try the local fruit wine available easily at the wine stores in the main market.

Himalayan Pizza, Bir

A perfect cozy winter night with the best pizza in town and live music in a pretty cafe located in a small hill town. If this is something you want, try the Himalayan cafe.

I reached Bir with sore muscles after a trek and I couldn’t even get down from the stairs of my room. But luckily my room was just behind this gorgeous cafe and I was mesmerized by the live music. Next? I dragged myself to the cafe for an amazing pizza and called it a night.

Cafe Roam Wild

If you are regular to my blog, you would know what a sweet tooth I have. So my dinner dessert was this tasty, chocolaty, delicious, sponge, fresh brownie in hot chocolate sauce. Although this was quite overpriced but was worth it.

This cafe also had a pretty swing for your insta-pics and had postcards for sale. I bought one of them too.

Big Daddy’s Shawarma

After roaming around for a while looking for food I finally reached this cafe for lunch. Most cafes were closed in Bir during lunch except for Himalayan cafe, Illaka Cafe and the Cafe Roam Wild. But I wanted to try a new place and ended up here at Big Daddy’s Shawarma.

I had amazing noodles and manchurian but the highlight was: Fried Momos. Perfect combo of crispy, juicy and tasty veg pan-fried momos absolutely the best cafe for momos in Bir.

Oh and of course, shawarma was amazing too!

So these were my picks for the best places to eat in Bir, if you get any suggestions, feel free to reach out and share with us!
